MOHENJO-DARO TABLEWARE
Ancient civilizations were built around great rivers just as communal bonds are built over meals today. Working on this thought,
Mohenjo-Daro harks back to fragments of patterns from the famed Indus Valley pottery. The set is designed such that no two pieces
out of the 16 are same. River Indus is drawn in 22K underglazed gold, which is reminiscent of Kintsugi or the Japanese practice that
celebrates imperfect beauty by repairing broken pottery with visible, molten joinery. Here it serves as a metaphor for connecting.
